小林教授が分担執筆した、”The Springer Handbook of Robotics” が、2008年のPROSE Awards (the 2008 American Publishers Awards for Professional and Scholarly Excellence) をPhysical Sciences ＆ MathematicsとEngineering ＆ Technologyの2部門で受賞しました。
MITのBreazeal教授、早大の高西教授と、”Social Robots that Interact with People”の章を担当し、ROBITA、ROBISUKEなど研究室で開発したロボットを紹介しています。
